With considerably more power than the A6G 2000 the A6G/54 was immediately more successful and struck a chord with a market looking for more performance.  A total of  60 vehicles were built with bodies by Zagato (who built 20 competition coupes), Frua and Allemano.  The total also included Type A6GCS/53 frame and 2 seat body.  Body styles included coupe and spyder - 2 door and 2+2
